Drama at CMS

Do you have a gifted child who really wants/needs another outlet? At CMS students can participate in drama in a variety of ways. First, there are the all-school productions, which include a fall play, a winter play and the spring musical. If your child has no desire to be on stage, he/she can get involved in backstage work including sets, costuming, makeup and for the musicians, the pit band.

There is also a drama club offered both winter and spring. Club members work on audition skills, improvisational drama and monologues. CMS also has an International Thespian Society troupe. This organization provides recognition to students for work in theater.

Students can find out about auditions in the daily bulletin and by looking for posters announcing auditions on the bulletin board by the Multi-Purpose room. Students sign up for auditions and pick up forms on the board or see the Drama teacher.
