Spanish Club

Spanish Club at EPHS is for students who are interested in the Spanish language and/or culture. The club is very informal. Students generally meet once a month during zero hour in room 324 (beginning in October) and once a month outside of school to eat at a restaurant or have a movie night. The 2005/06 president is hoping to include a field trip farther afield, such as a festival on Lake Street, and also to bring in speakers for zero-hour time.

Members are encouraged to speak in Spanish, if possible, when they get together but because the club isn't just about the language and because some members have not had a lot of Spanish training, English is used when needed. That philosophy also applies to e-mails sent out to the members; the main message is in Spanish, with an English translation beneath.

Spanish Club members will work with the EPHS Diversity Club later in the year, providing their own booth for the Diversity Fair.
